UK Open Modern Jive Competition 2008
Over £3,000 Prize money & at least 7 UK titles up for grabs
Party Night at Hove Centre Doors open at 8pm for a glamorous, fabulous Razzamatazz entertaining evening with Retroactive the 10 piece Band with West end music director Simon Pickering at the keys and Lucy his wife one of the vocals. Sally & Gordon, alias DJ Bunny at the decks for the start of an exciting NEW week-end full of surprises. During the Friday evening DJ Bunny will play a selection of fab music which will include tracks to be used in the Saturday BritRock Independent Modern Jive Competition, although not all and we obviously won't be telling you which ones!
Then join us from 8pm til 1pm for the fun filled Fantastic Friday where you can come along for a night of great freestyle music, great dancers.
You can just watch and cheer on friends and favourites or you can include yourself in the very popular Dance with a Stranger. Like last year there will be plenty of opportunity fore freestyle dancing in-between heats. Other categories are: Intermediate, Advanced and Open Freestyle, Show Case, Seniors, Double trouble and Team cabaret and if that wasn't enough to keep you entertained we have a fabby new Category: the Modern Jive 'Hot Spot' VENUE CHALLENGE - the category that gives you the chance to advertise just how great your very own Jive class is.
How does is work? One couple is selected from each venue that will represent your class to compete against other venues from around the UK, please bring banners, flyers, loud voices to cheer encourage and help make YOUR guys moment.
