Modern Jive is an exciting, stylish partner dance quite similar to Salsa but without the complicated footwork, it’s fun, easy to learn and looks great on the dance floor. It is also an excellent form of exercise that not only helps to keep you fit and toned but also exercises the mind as well.

There is no need to bring a partner because with Modern Jive the classes are taught on a rotational basis. This means that you get to dance with people with varying levels of experience and get to know the whole class.

There is no set course of Modern Jive that you need to enrol on. You can turn up to whatever venue you like, as and when you like. You won't miss out on anything vital if you miss a class.

You need to upgrade your Flash Player.

Modern Jive offer a complete solution for Jive enthusiasts and newcomers alike, by running classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for all abilities, holding workshops taken by Jive Champions and then holding Dances at fantastic locations for you to put your talent, new or existing, into action.  We consider all our guests as our friends and offer encouragement to all.

We also hold Themed Party Nights where we dress up as well as great 'social' days out, as you can see we all have great fun as well as enjoy the serious business of dancing.

Three times a year we stage a Grand Ball of dancing held at the Winter Gardens in Eastbourne Modern Jive Putting on the Ritz where we go out in style and have fun fun fun and it's a great chance to really dress up and three other Grand Dances held at the very impressive Hove Centre called 'The Brighton Modern Jive Balls'.  This too is a fantastic opportunity to meet up with dancers from other areas, dancers will travel a good 50/60 miles to get to a good dance like this.

Great fun, Great music, Good friends, amazing atmosphere and don't forget it keeps you fit and gives you the perfect reason to buy a new dress. Why not come along to the next evening? We will be very glad to welcome You.

The most important thing to remember
is to have fun and enjoy yourself!
